Jason Holder has been replaced as the West Indies Test captain and Opening batter Kraigg Brathwaite would be the official test captain of the team. He is the 37th person to be the team’s test captain and has already served the role of captain seven times when Holder was absent. His performance against Banglashde might have been a contributor to the title he served as captain and led the team to 2-0 win against Bangladesh.
The team would now take on Sri Lanka in the Caribbean where they will take on the team for two-Test series that would start this month. Brathwaite later in an interview added that to be the official captain of the team is a huge honor and humbly accepted the appreciation and the opportunity to lead the team.
