Lucknow Super Giants pile on more misery on Chennai Super Kings as they deny the team a win in the Indian Premier League. Despite the big target of 210 on Thursday, KL Rahul-led Lucknow stayed strong in their chase and won by six wickets in the end. The main inspiration behind their win was Evin Lewis who scored an unbeaten 55 off 23 balls and the debutants overcame their loss to Gujarat Titans in the opening match.
Rahul scored 40 off 26 balls and enjoyed a good 99-run stand along with Quinton de Kock who went 61 off 45 balls. Dwaine Pretorius did give some revival chance to Chennai by taking out both the openers and Dwayne Bravo also kept the batters in check until all-rounder Shivam Dube was taken for a 25 run ride in the decisive over which helped Lucknow complete their chase.
