In The Hundred derbies at Headingley, Northern Superchargers defeated Manchester Originals two games to one. After Hollie Armitage's team had triumphed earlier in the day, Harry Brook's team defeated the team over the Pennines by a margin of fourteen runs.
The Originals won the toss and elected to bowl, which seemed like a wise decision given the heavy clouds overhead and the rain that had been falling before to the match. The Superchargers, predictably, had a sluggish start at bat as Fazalhaq Farooqi claimed a wicket on the opening delivery of the game. A solid fifty partnership between skipper Brook and Graham Clark helped to rebuild the innings. After that, Brook amassed a scorching 58 off 33, but Scott Currie's amazing one-handed diving grab caught him off guard.
