Melbourne Stars grab their second season win against Sydney Thunders

Glenn Maxwell-led Melbourne Stars grabbed their second win of the Big Bash League after their win over Brisbane Heat and a 23 run victory over Sydney Thunder to take an early lead on the table. Stars were 92-1 in 10 overs but in the next  10 overs were able to post just 169/8 but Man-of-the-Match Adam Zampa helped their winning cause as they managed to restrict Thunders to just 147.

Stars were at their best led by Marcus Stoinis who posted 61 of 37 balls to help them post a great target. Daniel Sams and Tanveer Sangha but curtailed their score by clinching important wickets but could not chase the target successfully even Skipper Glenn Maxwell posted 39 off 29 balls.
