Men in green won’t travel to India to play in the 2023 World Cup

Political animosity between the two nations is still quite strong, and this has caused tensions to rise. India won't be going to Pakistan for the 2023 Asia Cup, made clearly plain by Jay Shah, secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and head of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). Ramiz Raja, a former chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), responded by stating that if this were to take place, Pakistan would think about pulling out of the 2023 World Cup. Since Pakistan's December 2012–January 2013 visit of India for two T20Is and three ODIs, the two nations have not engaged in a bilateral series.

Since, only big cricket competitions like the World Cup, T20 World Cup, Champions Trophy, and Asia Cup have seen the two bitter rivals square off. Irfan has appealed for politics and sports to be kept apart, as everyone wants to see Pakistan take on India.
