Mitch Marsh, the captain of Australia, is convinced that he is "all sweet" after missing his country's ODI series victory over England because of soreness following his bowling performance in the fourth game. Marsh allayed concerns that he may be out for the whole Australian summer, which will feature a five-match Test series against India and an ODI series against Pakistan in November. Cameron Green was returned home from England due to a back injury.
Marsh remarked, "I pulled up a bit sore after the last game, to a point where it was the right call to sit out today," as Australia won by 49 runs following an early rain-shortened game. With the ball, Travis Head was the Australians' standout player, taking 4-28 and stopping an England attack after the home team reached 2-201. England collapsed in the middle innings, losing 4-36.
