Famous Indian bowler Mohammed Shami is back in the nets as he looks to return to competitive cricket after missing the 2023 ODI World Cup.
The fast bowler turned up a fantastic performance in the ODI championship match, becoming the first bowler to achieve 50 wickets in the competition's history. He hasn't been able to participate in any fixtures, either the Indian Premier League or international games, since the tournament. The bowler was being closely monitored by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) due to an injury to his right heel that required surgery. Because the fast bowler was not cleared by the medical team, he was hoping to make a comeback during the South Africa Test series. Jay Shah has previously disclosed that the Indian fast bowler is anticipated to make a comeback for both the away series against Australia and the Bangladesh Tests, which are scheduled for later this year.
