Mumbai beat Gujarat by 27 runs

Mumbai Indians defeated Gujarat Titans by 27 runs at the Wankhede Stadium on Friday, maintaining their IPL 2023 winning streak. Suryakumar Yadav guided Mumbai's massive 218/5 score in their opening innings of play. The hitter scored 103 runs off of 49 pitches while striking out at a rate of 210.20. During his knock, he hit six maximums and eleven boundaries.

Wriddhiman Saha, Hardik Pandya, and Shubman Gill of the Gujarat Titans were lost on the powerplay as a result. Following the powerplay, Vijay Shankar was then struck out by Piyush Chawla on the first pitch. Before Rashid Khan offered some relief in GT's camp, Gujarat kept dropping wickets at regular intervals and fell behind in the run chase.  The tailender hit 10 maximums and three boundaries in his unbroken 79 off 32 balls. Gujarat managed to reach 191/8 in 20 overs thanks to Rashid's work.
