Mumbai Indians’ plight continues

Chris Gayle and Lokesh Rahul did their best for Punjab Kings despite Trent Boult’s constant attacks in the Indian Premier League on Friday which saw Punjab Kings win by 9 wickets over defending champions.  Punjab first limited Mumbai Indians to 131-6 while later Boult was taken for a ride with 30 runs in 2.4 overs, setting up as one of the most expensive overs for Mumbai and three players from Punjab successfully chased the total down with 14 balls more to spare.

Rahul was 60 not out, Gayle 43 not out and Mayank Agarwal scored 25 runs as PBKS claimed their second win of the season and join Mumbai mid-table, who also have just two wins from five matches. Mumbai did not deploy their Black Caps Jimmy Neesham and Adam Milne in their squad
