Mushfiqur becomes the oldest visiting centurion in Sri Lanka

Mushfiqur Rahim, a seasoned batsman from Bangladesh, became the oldest batter to achieve a century in Sri Lanka, shattering the record held by former Pakistan captain Younis Khan in Test cricket. Rahim became the oldest player, excluding openers, to make a century in a Test match played in Sri Lanka as he achieved his 12th century.

He surpassed the mark set by Younis Khan of Pakistan, who in 2015, at the age of 37 years and 216 days, made a century in a Test match against the home side in Sri Lanka. Mushfiqur scored a century in a Test match in Sri Lanka at the age of 38 years and 39 days. But at the end of the second day of the Galle Test, Bangladesh had amassed 484 runs for 9 wickets against the home squad.
