Namibia beat Sri Lanka to commence World Cup in style

Jan Frylinck, JJ Smit, Ben Shikongo display a true game of show spirit and skill to defeat Sri Lanka with a heavy hand. With a desperate situation facing Namibia, Jan Frylinck and JJ Smit blasted the Namibia cricket team out of the match. They then proceeded to whittle down Sri Lanka's batting order until they were able to get at least two wickets in two balls, while David Wiese and Frylinck also contributed to the breakthrough.

Eventually, Sri Lanka could not get a stand started - Bhanuka Rajapaksa and Dasun Shanaka started off well with 34. Namibia's bowlers tried to mix it up with a slow Geelong pitch that rewarded pace on the ball. Sri Lanka's batters kept trying. They eventually all got out for 108 in the 19th over. Dhananjaya de Silva scored an outstanding running catch at deep square leg in the 14th over.
