New Zealand cruise past Namibia in T20 World Cup

A late attack by New Zealand batsmen Glenn Phillips and Jimmy Neesham helped the team to a 52-run win in Sharjah against Namibia. The win creates a big chance for the team to qualify for the Twenty20 World Cup semi-finals from Group II.

The pair of Neesham and Phillips scored 67 runs in the last four overs to put New Zealand to 163-4, overtaking a slow slump they found themselves in the 16th over. Namibia who was off to a good start with a win over Scotland, later lost to Afghanistan and Pakistan both now New Zealand also joins the list. In their chase, Namibia was restricted to 111-7 from 20 overs with continuous attacks from Tim Southee (2-15) and Trent Boult (2-20) that limited Namibia.
