New Zealand pacer Tim Southee comments on Suryakumar Yadav

Suryakumar Yadav recently thrashed the NZ bowlers by hitting boundaries and sixes, his last 64 runs puring out of just 18 balls. His smacking innings had 11 fours and seven sixes and his strike rate was an impressive 217.64. Suryakumar Yadav's brilliant 111 against New Zealand on Sunday contributed to his rising status as a top T20 batsman but veteran pacer Tim Southee recently stated that he will have to prove himself consistently to become India's best in the shortest format.

"India has produced so many amazing cricketers not only in T20 format but also across the three formats. You have got so many players who have played for a long period of time and have achieved so much over a long period of time. He is a player who can hit in a number of ways. He has been in great form in the last 12 months -- IPL and international cricket."
