Kane Williamson wins the New Zealand player of the year award for the fourth time this year after New Zealand skipper’s double centuries against Pakistan and West Indies helped the team qualify for the World Test Championship finale and face India in June. The 30-year-old received Sir Richard Hadlee's medal and is regarded as one of the best test batsmen, he even bagged the International Test Player of the Year award after he helped the team win 17 of 20 matches across format over the summer and win 7 out of 7 series.
He has been an important part of the New Zealand team and the award is the fourth one he has bagged in six years. While Devon Conway was named the men's one-day international (ODI) and T20 player of the year.
