New Zealand unveiled its T20I squad against Bangladesh

Six of the New Zealand players who would be playing in IPL have been rested before the series. Lockie Ferguson is part of the T20I squad while Kane Williamson has been rested for the Bangladesh series and a 13-member squad would be preparing to take on Bangladesh in the T20I series. Apart from Williamson, batsman Tim Seifert, fast bowler Trent Boult, left-arm spinner Mitchell Santner, all-rounders Kyle Jamieson and James Neesham.

With main players missing the match young players have been given a chance to play for New Zealand as Finn Allen and Will Young would play their maiden matches and along with Ferguson Adam Milne would make an appearance after injury lay-offs. Milne has not been part of the national team since Nov 2018.
