Black Caps won their second T20 international match as well against Bangladesh to clinch the series win early. Bangladesh was handed a recalculated target as per the Duckworth Lewis method after rain-affected their inning while Daryl Mitchell and Glenn Phillips put up a 62 run partnership to help New Zealand set a 173-5 target in 18 overs after adjusting the target Bangladesh had to chase down 170 from 16 overs and finished 28 runs short on 142-7.
Soumya Sarkar did give Bangladesh a small chance by scoring a half-century from 25 balls but he later fell to Tim Southee (2-21) in the 11th over and others fell one by one, as well as their batting lineup, was left crippled in the chase. The last and third T20 of the three-match series is scheduled for Thursday in Auckland.
