South Africa powered through in the second test facing the World champions New Zealand after the grueling defeat in the first inning. Proteas made amends to maintain their record of never losing a Test series against New Zealand with the 198 runs win.
This was the third loss for Black Caps in the last six matches ever since they overpowered India in the World Test Championships final. Chasing a target of 426 runs on the final day, South Africa’s clever bowling attacks restricted the Champions to just 227 runs by tea time. Kagiso Rabada won the player of the match award after picking up eight wickets during the match and his knock of 47 runs in the second innings as the tourists stayed in complete control after butchering the first test match.
