Even after playing seventy Test innings, Niroshan Dickwella is looking for that big one. Way back in 2014, Dickwella started his Test career with an exceptional 72 off 116 balls. It was against a South Africa attack featuring Morne Morkel, Dale Steyn, and Vernon Philander. At that time, he had hardly graduated from the Under-19 team.
However, there have been only 15 half-centuries so far. This depicted an overall average of 30.65. He also bagged a third place on the list of most runs in Tests. That too without reaching three figures.
Now after several years of improvement with the gloves, his situation changed. Dickwella is now considered to be the best wicketkeeper in the country. This time, Sri Lanka made him bat at No. 6 instead of No. 7. Now, Dickwella is aiming for improvement in batting output as well.
