Pakistan and Australia match ends in a disappointing draw

The Rawalpindi test match stayed interesting even on the fifth day, with Pakistan posting a total of 252 runs in their second inning without dropping any wickets. Abdullah Shafique hit his maiden Test century with 136 and his opening partner Imam-ul-Haq scored his second ton of the match with 111 runs to be the 12th player to achieve the feat against Australia.

In the five days bowlers starved for wickets while it all came down to the batting order in the end. Australia could not even dent Pakistan’s top-class batting order and earlier had grabbed just four wickets alone. Surprisingly Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood stayed wicketless for the entire five days while Cummins and Lyon scalped one each.
