Pakistan won their second match in a row in Sharjah, defeating New Zealand by 5 wickets. Pakistan reached 30/1 in their chase of 135 by the end of the Powerplay. On 9, Tim Southee removed skipper Babar Azam for his 100th T20I scalp. Then, after being blasted for a six, Ish Sodhi got his revenge by trapping Fakhar Zaman LBW in front.
