Pakistan beats Zimbabwe in the first T20I

Pakistan beat Zimbabwe to enjoy a 1-0 lead in the three-match T20I series. Mohammad Rizwan scored 61-ball 82 to set Pakistan on the path to victory. Pakistan set a total of 149-7 for Zimbabwe to chase who seemed on track to an early with Craig Ervine, Tinashe Kamunhukamwe, and Luke Jongwe in form but their middle order did not extend enough help and they fell short posting just 138-7 in the end.

Pakistan lost Babar cheaply to Muzarabani and they were left at 8-1 and disappointed but taking advantage of Zimbabwe’s fielding mistakes Pakistan still put up a respectable target despite losing their middle order as well quickly, Mohammad Hafeez (5), Danish Aziz (15), Haider Ali (5), and Faheem Ashraf (1) but Rizwan later dug in his heels and gave Pakistan a respectful target to defend.
