In the third and final ODI, played in Karachi on Friday, New Zealand defeated Pakistan by two wickets to win the series. Glenn Phillips scored an undefeated half-century.
Up until Devin Conway and Kane Williamson took the field, New Zealand was fully engaged in the game as they chased Pakistan's 280/9 total. However, Pakistan started to regain control of the game when the visitors' middle order collapsed. Eventually, it was Glenn Phillips who proved steady and unbeaten on 64 as they prevailed by two wickets with 11 balls remaining.
This triumph put New Zealand atop the one-day ranks and gave them their first ODI series win in Pakistan after six attempts.
