Hasan Ali, a seamer for Pakistan, has stated his wish to compete in the 2026 T20 World Cup, but he is aware that securing a berth in the squad will be difficult. Hasan has rejoined the national team and admitted that he has the chance to persuade the selectors that he should be included in the World Cup squad at every opportunity. It has taken a while for the 31-year-old to return to the Pakistani team, but the selectors could no longer overlook his exceptional domestic performances. With 17 wickets in 10 games for the Karachi Kings at an average of 20.47 and an economy rate of 9.03, Hasan was the joint second-highest wicket-taker in the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Later, in Pakistan's three-match T20I series against Bangladesh, he took eight wickets at an average of 11.12 and an economy rate of 9.53, including a career-high five-wicket haul.
