Pakistan released their final squad for Asia Cup 2022

Pakistan would be participating in the ODI match against Netherlands before heading off to ACC T20 Asia Cup. The Men in Green would have to deal with five major changes to the squad. Abdullah Shafique, Imam-ul-Haq, Mohammad Haris, Salman Ali Agha, and Zahid Mehmood have been replaced and would be supplanted by Asif Ali, Haider Ali, Iftikhar Ahmed ,and Usman Qadir.

Hasan Ali was one of the most surprising names not to feature on the list and in his place Fast bowler Naseem Shah would be participating in both competitions. The bowling department looks strong, especially with the addition of Shah along with Haris Rauf, Mohammad Wasim Jnr, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Shahnawaz Dahani. PCB chief selector Muhammad Wasim shared “we have picked our best available players in consultation with the captain and head coach.”
