The leaving bowling coach of the Indian men's cricket team, Paras Mhambrey, has given a heartfelt homage to Jasprit Bumrah, who is now the best bowler in the world across all forms. On July 15, Mhambrey said to The Hindu in Mumbai, “I feel Bumrah is a freak,” Mhambrey told The Hindu in Mumbai on July 15. “He is once-in-a-generation-bowler that this game has seen. If you look at each and every format — T20, he is up there, one-dayers he is up there, even Test cricket, he is right up there.”
Mhambrey, who became a member of Rahul Dravid's support team when he joined the Men in Blue in November 2021, concluded his career with the T20 World Cup victory this past year. During his tenure, Bumrah's unavailability due to a back ailment plagued India for about a year. However, Bumrah has elevated his performance from before following his recuperation.
