After the Indian Premier League was suddenly postponed in India earlier in the year, BCCI has set 19th September as the date for the second leg of the tournament which will take place in UAE and kick off with a big game between defending champions Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings. The second phase of the tournament would see 31 matches but the availability of many overseas players remains doubtful at the moment, including the Australian pacer Pat Cummins.
Kolkata Knight Riders might need to look at his replacement soon. It would be hard to fill the shoes of the highest wicket-taker, in the first leg itself, Cummins picked up 9 wickets in 7 matches and scored 93 runs as well with a strike rate of 166.07 in five matches.
