ICC Men’s T20 Batting Rankings have been updated and South Africa’s batsman Quinton de Kock jumps four places to record his career-best rank. De Kock played a key role in the recent Proteas’ success against Sri Lanka. His impressive performance which resulted in a 3-0 sweep in the T20I series have given him a good boost and promoted him to the eighth rank.
The 28-year-old scored a total of 153 runs in the three-match T20 series, the most impressive performance was 59 of 46 ball runs in the third match that saw Proteas to a 10 wicket win. South Africa is hopeful his outstanding performance would continue next month when they take part in the T20 World Cup. Head coach Mark Boucher commented on his form as well and shared that Quinny has made a fantastic comeback after the Pakistan series.
