Rashid Latif claims Mohammad Rizwan could be the next Pakistan’s team captain

Former Pakistan batsman Rashid Latif believes in the leading skills of Mohammad Rizwan as well as his performance in the recent England Tour was top-notch even if Pakistan ended up losing the series.

The 28-year-old Rizwan could be the next national team’s captain. The wicketkeeper-batsman scored over 161 runs in the three-Test series which included two half-centuries. As well as at the field he took five catches with one stumping. In the three-match T20 series even though we did not witness Rizwan’s batting skills he did took one catch and did one stumping. He even has the experience at hand, having led Pakistan’s A team.

He was leading the team even from behind the wickets, kept up constant communication with the players, He chatted with Shadab when he got hit for a six, he also pointed out a gap in the fielding to Babar who seemed unaware of it. Latif further commented he would be a great captain for the team if chosen.
