A series in which the defending ODI World Cup champions England are struggling is being discussed far away from the existing India-New Zealand series and the next, eagerly awaited Border-Gavaskar Test series. With one game remaining, they have already lost the three-match series. Rashid Latif, a former captain of Pakistan, was extremely impressed with an England batting star and called him the "next Babar Azam or Virat Kohli" despite England's alarming performance.
Young Harry Brook greatly impressed Rashid. After making his England debut precisely one year prior in the T20Is against the West Indies, Brook gained notoriety with his sensational 153-ball innings against Pakistan in the Rawalpindi Test. Later, he finished the series in Multan and Karachi with back-to-back tonnes and a 65-ball 87. He did start off with a three-ball duck on his ODI debut last week, but he recovered impressively to smash a 75-ball 80, albeit in a losing cause.
