India has done a great job by riding on a 150-run partnership between Ravindra Jadeja and Hardik Pandya. And, that too for the sixth wicket. The cherry on the cake was a three-wicket haul from Shardul Thakur. They together managed to pull off a 13-run consolation win.
It was a neck to neck competition for the third and final One-day International. They pulled to avoid acknowledging a clean sweep to Australia at the Manuka Oval. Glenn Maxwell's 59 off 38 was indeed a good score. And, it threatened to take the game away from India. As at that time, they had the Aussies on the field at 158 five wickets. And, that too after scoring 302 for five wickets in their 50 overs.
Nonetheless, with Australia needing 35 off 33 deliveries was a turning point. At that time, Maxwell tried to withdraw to a Jasprit Bumrah yorker and was unfortunately bowled.
