Scotland thrashed Oman by seven wickets

Scotland boosted their chances of advancing in the T20 World Cup by thrashing Oman by seven wickets in Antigua, moving to the top of Group B. Brandon McMullen's unbeaten 61 off 31 balls led Scotland to 153-3 in 13.1 overs, surpassing Oman's 150-7. McMullen sealed the win with a four, part of his aggressive innings featuring nine boundaries and two sixes.

Facing Australia next, Scotland is confident after an impressive tournament start. The run chase began smoothly with George Munsey scoring 41, Michael Jones adding 16, and Matthew Cross contributing 15 not out. Oman captain Aqib Ilyas regretted his team's missed opportunities and failure to build a bigger total. Despite Pratik Athavale's 54 off 40 balls, Oman struggled as Zeeshan Maqsood and Khalid Kail fell cheaply. Ayaan Khan steadied the ship with an unbeaten 41 off 39 deliveries with support from Mehran Khan, who added 13.
