Scotland through to the second round after Oman thrashing

Scotland is through to the second round in the T20 World Cup for the first time in history with an eight-wicket win over Oman. The co-hosts chased down their target of 123 and even had 18 balls to spare with their three of three wins from the qualifying round. Captain Kyle Coetzer led the scores table with 41 off 28 balls and shot three sixes and two fours along the way. Richie Berrington went unbeaten with 31 runs along with Matthew Cross who posted 26 runs.

Scots are through to the Group 2 of the Super 12s and would participate alongside Afghanistan, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, and the winner of Ireland and Namibia’s match. In the past Scotland hasn't really gone beyond the first round in the past but is making history this time.
