The Australian team deals with a big blow ahead of the Sri Lanka tour. Their bowling allrounder Sean Abbott has fractured his finger and is forced to pull out of the upcoming tour while Peter Handscomb also leaves the squad to travel to Melbourne to deal with a personal issue. Australia was prepping for the three-match T20I series in Colombo.
While Abbott was not part of Australia's XI for the first match but would unfortunately not be part of the team for the remaining series. Test bowler Scott Boland would be replacing Abbott in the squad and will meet the squad soon and wicketkeeper Jimmy Peirson would replace Handscomb. Australia A will have Todd Murphy, Matthew Kuhnemann and Tanveer Sangha as spinners as well, the youngsters would gain some experience of working in Sri Lankan conditions.
