Shubman Gill was a treat to the eyes in his maiden international hundred. On Monday, he took India to 289 for eight in the third and final ODI against Zimbabwe. Gill (130 off 97 balls) partnered with Ishan Kishan (50 off 61) at a 140-run stand. Although, Kishan eventually got run out in an odd manner. After winning the toss, team India opted to bat for the first time in the series. However, the team did not have the smoothest of beginnings because they found themselves 63-1 in 15 overs. But, upon the arrival of the 22-year-old, the game witnessed 15 fours and 1 six along with impressive straight drives and cover drives.
Shubman Gill did have his close moments with the host before he achieved the milestone. Laurie Evans did appeal for a close leg before the call. However, the DRS was not called in because UltraEdge showed that the ball touched Shubman's bat before hitting into the pads.
