Sixers cruise to a 38-run victory over Strikers

The match saw the second-fastest half-century of the Big Bash history from Dan Christian who helped his side to a 38-run win over Adelaide Strikers. Sixers posted 177-5 at Blundstone Arena and later contained Adelaide’s side to 139 in the 20 overs. The cold night was rewarding for Christian scoring 50 in just 15 balls hitting his career-best scores in Big Bash League.

Josh Philippe ended the day at 6 after being dismissed by Daniel Worrall a stark contrast from his game with Renegades where he hit the highest-ever individual score for his club with 95. Worrall also took out Jack Edwards at 17 finishing with 2-12 and Christian later stuck his ground even against Rashid Khan to help post a 177 target. He also started the second inning by taking the first wicket Phil Salt (28) to shine during the match.
