South Africa’s tour of Pakistan is already a historic event with the team visiting the country after 17 year-long breaks ever since the horrific 2009 militant attack on the team halted all international tours back then. Pakistan is looking forward to ending the South African dominance and win the series to leapfrog the country in the ICC Test ranking after the second test. The last time Pakistan won over Proteas was at home in 2003.
If in case South Africa losses they could drop sixth on the list if they win, they would be fifth on the table. Pakistan is 1-0 in the series so far with Debutant Nauman Ali and spinner Yasir Shah leading in the first test with seven wickets and was supported by Fawad Alam’s century. Babar Azam led team is desperate to win this test series after heavy losses to New Zealand.
