Sri Lanka could give a tough fight to Bangladesh

Bangladesh captain Tamim Iqbal shared they are expecting a fight from Sri Lanka to end their home dominance in the upcoming one-day series starting on Sunday. Bangladesh has won all of its 12 matches at home since October 2018. The last time the teams met they lost 3-0 to Sri Lanka in the one-day series, in Colombo in 2019. Bangladesh would have all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan at their side once more, the player missed the previous series against New Zealand as well as a test tour of Sri Lanka in April to attend the Indian Premier League.

He would be playing at No.3 after Bangladesh batsman Najmul Hossain. In the World Cup 2019 Shakib stared for the nation and scored 606 runs third-highest after Rohit Sharma's 648 and David Warner's 647 while clinching 11 wickets. The other two matches of the three-match series will take place on 25th and 28th May at Dhaka's Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium.
