Sri Lanka denies West Indies a win by drawing the second test match

Sri Lanka first ended West Indies’ second inning early on Day 4 and batted out on Day 5 to draw the second test match as well at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua. The two test match series between Sri Lanka and West Indies hence ended with a 0-0 score, West Indies were hoping to clinch 10 wickets on the final day but could only secure two after Sri Lanka held their ground and closed the day on 193 for 2.

Dimuth Karunaratne was the top scorer with 75 runs Oshada Fernando remained undefeated at 66 off 119 balls while Alzarri Joseph and Kyle Mayers clinched one wicket each with a score of 1-33 and 1-5 respectively. Brathwaite earned the trophy of player-of-the-match for his scores of 126 and 85 and Sri Lanka’s seamer Suranga Lakmal earned the title of player-of-the-series with 11 wickets in the two games.
