Sri Lanka knocked down twice by England in the T20 series leading 2-0

Sri Lanka has faced its shortcoming clearly after the successive two defeats against England in the 3-match series on the Sophia Gardens track at Cardiff. The Sri Lankan innings ended 111 for 7, with Kusal Mendis hitting three boundaries and a six, totaling a top score of 39. The Lankans did not go down without a fight. The Bowling front was fierce, taking England’s first wicket in 2nd ball of the innings, and three more followed.

England’s fifth-wicket partnership by Liam Livingstone and Sam Billings contributing 26 off 29 and 24 off 29 total 54 saved the match from the Lankan bowlers tossing 4 of the England players off the ground in just 6.3 overs until Hasaranga broke the partnership bowling Billings in the 15th over. With 90 for 5, England’s Livingstone stood not out with Sam Curran partnering 18 plus 16, making him the player of the match, accounting for a team wins.
