In a complete reversal, Sri Lanka enjoyed an upper hand on the last day of the second and final Test against West Indies by having a target of 377 in front of them and need 348 more runs to win, they knocked down West Indies’ second inning with 280 for four. The last test match ended in a draw when the Caribbean side chased down a target of 375 on the last day of Test One in the same venue.
They ended the day with 29 with no loss and Lahiru Thirimanne and captain Dimuth Karunaratne were on the crease for nine grueling overs. Kraigg Brathwaite was dismissed at 85 after facing 196 balls and five hours of work he failed to complete a century, it was Dushmantha Chameera who did him in and later Jason Holder and Joshua da Silva worked together to post 53 more runs.
