Sydney Thunder cruise past Adelaide Strikers

Jason Sangha’s unbeaten knock of 91 from 55 balls helps Strikers shrug off their fifth back-to-back defeat with a depleted roster to finally push through and win with 22 runs. Sydney Thunder posted a total of 187 runs while they curtailed Adelaide Strikers to a total of 165 runs as they won comfortably in the Big Bash League game.

Sangha hit around a dozen boundaries and enjoyed a good partnership with Ben Cutting and Sam Billings. But the most successful partnership of the day was with Ollie Davies where both the player knocked 89 runs in 40 balls and the Strikers held their ground as they even subdued the red hot Rashid who finished with 0 for 23 in the four overs he bowled. Thunder’s win sees them in the top four and they hope to take advantage once more when both the sides would meet again on 2nd.
