The Aussies will take the same XI into the crucial contest

In the lead-up to the second and final Test between Australia and New Zealand, both teams have made notable decisions regarding their playing XIs.

Australia, the reigning ICC World Test Championship winners, have opted to stick with the same XI that secured a convincing 172-run victory over New Zealand in the opening Test in Wellington. Despite recent poor form, No.3 batter Marnus Labuschagne retains his place in the side. The experienced quartet of captain Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Starc, and Nathan Lyon will once again lead Australia's bowling attack in the upcoming match at Hagley Oval in Christchurch. On the other hand, New Zealand has announced a change in their lineup, with right-arm quick Ben Sears set to make his Test debut in place of the injured Will O'Rourke. Sears, who has featured in 13 T20Is for his country, showcased his skills by taking three wickets in two matches against Australia last month.
