In the opening match of the Super 12 round, two highly anticipated matches are on the calendar with Australia v South Africa and later West Indies v England. 12 teams have been divided into two groups and the world’s top 8 are joined by Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Scotland along with the surprising package of Namibia. Australia and South Africa are going for their first T20 World title while the 2016 runners-up England are hoping to go all the way this time. Australia is going to rely on David Warner though he had not played an international T20 this year and in 2020 he could just post a total of 186 runs.
South Africa would be without AB de Villiers this year as well as the Faf du Plessis who helped Chennai Super Kings to an IPL title this season, the team is looking to maintain their seven successive T20 international winning streaks. From the Super 12 stage, two teams from each group would move to the semifinals then winners move to the finals.
