Australian skipper Tim Paine overtook Quinton de Kock to be known as the fastest wicket-keeper to record 150 dismissals in 33 innings. The record marks a great success for Australia during their second day of the second Test with India on Melbourne Cricket Ground. Dismissing Rishabh Pant on Mitchell Starc’s bowling was a point of success for Paine beating de Kock’s record of 150 in 34 innings. Adam Gilchrist hit 150 in 36 innings while Mark Boucher took 38 innings.
India but leads by 82 runs at the end of test 2 finishing at 277-5 compared to Australia’s 195. A stupendous century by Rahane finishing 104 unbeaten helped India’s run in the second test where Australia already enjoys a 1-0 lead in the series. Helping Rahane on crease was Ravindra Jadeja who was unbeaten at 40.
