Umran Malik tipped for India after IPL’s masterclass

The Speed devil Umran Malik is being upheld to win a spot in India's bowling assault in the wake of illuminating the IPL with deliveries of more than 150kph (93mph) and wickets aplenty. The 22-year-old returned figures of 5-25, as he became the first player to take home the man of the match award from the losing side Sunrisers Hyderabad. Malik's ascent from the Jammu area to the Indian Premier League has been downright a fantasy.

His crude speed in only three matches incited the India group the board to keep him in the United Arab Emirates after the IPL as a net bowler for the T20 World Cup. Still, Gujarat's New Zealand blower Lockie Ferguson has bowled the quickest ball at 153.9kph this year up to this point.
