Virat Kohli slids down the ICC Test batting rankings

India’s star batter Virat Kohli sides down the ICC player rankings from fifth to ninth as per the latest update made by the organizers. India most recently beat Sri Lanka in the two-match Test series with a dominating win, still. Sri Lanka’s Test captain Dimuth Karunaratne occupies a place better than Kohli at the fifth spot. On the ranking table Rohit Sharma, Travis Head, and Babar Azam are placed better as well, as Kohli’s Test century drought continues since 2019.

As per the ICC Test Rankings for bowlers, Jasprit Bumrah rose through the ranks after clinching eight wickets to end up at fourth rank as he jumps six places over Shaheen Afridi, Kyle Jamieson, Tim Southee, James Anderson, Neil Wagner, and Josh Hazlewood.
