West Indies Announce Strong Squad for ODI Tours of Ireland and England

West Indies have announced a strong 15-member squad for their upcoming ODI tour of Ireland and England, set to begin later this month. The tour includes six ODIs that will contribute to their preparation for the 2027 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup. Shai Hope will continue to lead the side, supported by top-order batters Brandon King, Evin Lewis, and Keacy Carty. Exciting teenager Jewel Andrew has also earned a call-up after impressing at the ICC U-19 World Cup.

The squad remains largely unchanged from the group that swept Bangladesh 3-0 late last year, although Shimron Hetmyer is a notable absentee due to his IPL commitments with Rajasthan Royals. Head coach Daren Sammy is optimistic about building on the team’s recent success and believes this tour will be vital in maintaining their positive momentum ahead of the next World Cup in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia.
