West Indies defeated India in the fifth T20 International, which was played in Florida, to win the series. India won the third and fourth games to force a final, but their momentum was stopped when West Indies swept to an eight-wicket victory with 12 balls remaining, giving them their first series victory of any kind over India in two or more games since 2016. India won the toss and decided to bat after captain Hardik Pandya made the decision. However, they got off to a shaky start and could only manage 165 for 9 from their 20 overs.
West Indies started off well with the bat, accelerated the pace, and coasted to victory for a successful series. Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 84 runs the day before to help India win, but in the fifth game of the series, he was caught and bowled by Akeal Hosein after only four deliveries.
