The opportunity to share the workload with Ben Stokes without Liam Livingstone in the second Test against Pakistan is too good to pass up. England's impressive victory in the first Test has left the series as it should be. In Rawalpindi, Pakistan closed out their first Test by 74 runs. Although England had to rest their starters in the second Test, Ben Stokes will have to make alterations to the side.
Liam Livingstone, who was expected to take up the role as a second bowler, suffered a knee injury in the first Test. However, Livingstone was unable to play in the first Test, so Will Jacks took his place. Despite bowling more in the second innings, Stokes could freshen up his attack with Jacks. It's unclear whether or not Livingstone will return for the series. His injury is giving him the opportunity to play in the second Test, where he will presumably be a more important player.
