Zimbabwe defended well against Pakistan even when they were reduced to just 118-9 with Pakistan bowlers attacking left and right but Tinashe Kamunhukamwe’s 34 helped Zimbabwe to a modest total in the Twenty20 international series at the Harare Sports Club on Friday. Zimbabwe later pulled off a 19 run win over Pakistan who had dominated the team in the previous match to take a 1-0 lead. Pakistan was bowled out at 99 as their middle order failed to perform calling for an outcry by the public as well.
Luke Jongwe removed Mohammad Rizwan at 13 and Babar Azam at 41 to finish with 4-18 and later Pakistan’s poor performance and Zimbabwe’s great bowling effort saw the team win their first match over Pakistan in the past 15 T20 internationals to force a decider.
